A member of the law firm Jones & Keller, Tom has been an attorney for over four decades, successfully assisting clients with antitrust litigation and counseling and other complex litigation matters,including health care contracting, credentialing, licensing or privileging disputes. He is passionate about the practice of law and could not imagine a different career.
Mr. McMahon has won multi-million dollar lawsuits for both plaintiffs and defendants.Over the course of his career he has been responsible for recovering tens of millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. He has successfully represented them at the trial and highest appellate levels of the federal and state judicial and administrative systems. These successes have been achieved in Colorado and elsewhere around the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also acted as lead, local, and antitrust counsel in national, regional, and state class action type lawsuits.
Tom also has extensive experience advising and representing physicians, medical groups and other health care providers and entities regarding antitrust, competition, discipline, licensing, and privileging issues in internal, state and federal administrative and judicial proceedings.
In a prior life, Mr. McMahon was a member of the USAF JAG Corps, where he served as an Area, and then as a Circuit, Defense Counsel with the USAF Trial Judiciary.
A Michigan native, he obtained his B.A. "With High Honor" from Michigan State University, where he was a Merit Scholar and member of the Honors College. Tom earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Michigan Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.
